The purpose of a play plan is to let one device play different programs at different times.
If you only want to publish one program and let it keep playing, you usually do not need to configure this page at all.
You only need a play plan in situations like these:
- Different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Different programs on weekdays and weekends
- One campaign that should only appear during a specific time period
- Multiple programs sharing the same device
What Time Rules Can Be Configured
You can configure schedules by:
- Monthly
- Weekly
- Daily
- One-time
This allows multiple programs to be published to one device and switch automatically by time.
What Happens If Time Ranges Overlap
If multiple programs are all valid during the same time period, those programs will rotate in playback.
So if you want one program to appear alone during a specific time slot, try to define the schedule clearly and avoid large overlaps with other programs.
When It Is Better Not to Configure This Yet
If you are only trying the system for the first time, it is better to finish the simplest publish flow first and make sure the device can already play content.
Once you actually face the need for "one device, different programs at different times," this page will become much easier to understand.
Play Plan Interface

What Counts as Success
If the device automatically switches to the corresponding program during the time period you configured, the play plan is working successfully.
