Multi-screen playback means multiple devices each play one part of the same large visual, and together they form one complete image on site.

It is suitable for video walls, multi-screen horizontal layouts, multi-screen vertical layouts, and similar large-display effects.

If you only want multiple devices to play the same complete program, and not form one combined image, then you need Same-Screen instead.

Before you begin, make sure:

  • All devices are already bound
  • The physical layout of the devices has already been fixed on site
  • You already know which device is left, center, right, top, bottom, and so on
  • You have already split the original large image or video into multiple media files that match the number of devices

If the media has not been split yet, prepare that first before continuing. Multi-screen playback does not automatically stretch one full image across multiple devices. Each device plays only the part that belongs to it.

Understand How Multi-Screen Matching Works First

There are usually 3 key objects in multi-screen playback:

  • Combined Screen: the group of devices that will form one large display together
  • Device Label: the position label of each device inside that combined screen
  • Program Label: which position a specific program belongs to

The most important rule is:

Devices with the same label download the programs with the same label.

For example, in a triple-screen setup from left to right, you can think of it like this:

  • One device for the left screen
  • One device for the center screen
  • One device for the right screen

At the same time, you also need 3 prepared program parts that correspond to left, center, and right.

Step 1: Create the Combined Screen

First bind the devices normally. Then create a device group and set that group as a combined screen.

Next, set the device label for each device according to its real physical position inside the combined screen. This step is very important because the programs will later be matched to devices through these labels.

Step 2: Prepare the Split Programs

If you want to build a triple-screen display, you first need to split one large image or video into 3 parts, and then create 3 separate programs from those parts.

These programs should:

  • Belong to the same program group
  • Have their own corresponding program labels

On the program detail page, open More Program Settings from the top-right corner, then set the program label and program group there.

The final effect looks like this:

Step 3: Publish to the Combined Screen

Click the Publish button in the device group list, select the device group, and then choose the combined screen you created earlier.

In the publish dialog, click More Parameters to open the "Start/End Time / Priority / Playback Mode" settings.

In Playback Mode, select "Synchronized Playback" and confirm.

What Counts as Success

If each device downloads the program that matches its label, and the screens together form one continuous complete image on site, multi-screen playback is working successfully.
