Device authorization is required, and there are three types of authorization: Free Authorization, Cloud Authorization, and Local Authorization:

  1. Free Authorization: After registration, users become free members and can obtain free authorization for one device, allowing direct use or testing. However, free members have limited storage capacity and features. To access the full functionality, users can upgrade to VIP standard membership by purchasing any cloud device authorization.
  2. Cloud Authorization: Cloud authorization is the recommended method, providing full functionality, including all features of local authorization. It supports online content delivery, comprehensive device management, and all available features.
  3. Local Authorization: Local authorization is suitable for private deployments, intranet connections, or USB content delivery. Online content delivery is not supported, meaning all content is stored on the user's own device and can be used without external network access, similar to standalone software.
  • When a device is no longer in use, cloud authorization can be unbound or revoked from the device and returned to the user's account. It can then be bound to another device, but the number of replacements must not exceed 10. Returned authorizations no longer support local authorization functionality.
  • Once local authorization is granted to a device, it cannot be returned. If the management server address is changed, you can directly rebind the device or use the device's export and import functions to transfer the authorization to the new management server.

Choose authorization by scenario

If you do not want to compare the terms one by one, choose like this:

  1. If you only want to try the product or test one device first, choose Free Authorization. You can use one device after registration, but storage and some features are limited.
  2. If you need to manage devices remotely over the Internet and publish content online, choose Cloud Authorization. This is the default recommendation for most users and provides the most complete feature set.
  3. If your devices cannot access the Internet, or your content cannot be stored on external servers, choose Local Authorization. It is suitable for private deployment, LAN direct connection, USB publishing, and other offline scenarios.

You can think of them like this:

  • Free Authorization = trial version
  • Cloud Authorization = full cloud-based version
  • Local Authorization = full offline version

If you are still unsure, decide with these questions:

  • Do you need to manage devices centrally and publish content through the Internet?
    • If yes, choose Cloud Authorization.
    • If no, and you only need local or LAN usage, choose Local Authorization.
  • Are you just signing up to try it first?
    • If yes, start with Free Authorization and upgrade later if needed.
