1. Is CXPlayer free? How to purchase?

CXPlayer is available upon registration, but the free membership has limitations on the number of devices, material file size, and some features. It can be used for free if the requirements are not high. VIP paid members can bind more devices, upload high-definition lossless materials, and enjoy more exclusive features. You can place an order directly in the Admin End (web/APP) to purchase and activate it.

2. On which devices can CXPlayer run?

The Player APP of CXPlayer can run on TVs, Android phones/tablets, advertising machines, advertising boxes, Windows computers, HarmonyOS devices, and more. It is available on all platforms, including X86 and ARM chips. You can use the CXPlayer APP to manage all your devices uniformly.

3. How to achieve auto-start on boot?

The CXPlayer Player APP is set to auto-start by default, but most TVs will disable third-party applications from auto-starting for user experience reasons. Also, pressing the power button on the remote control actually puts the TV in standby mode, and turning it back on is a wake-up, not a boot, which may not auto-start. To achieve auto-start in any state, you need to set the Player APP as the default desktop (Launcher).

The above methods require some technical foundation. We recommend communicating with TV or advertising machine manufacturers to directly set CXPlayer to auto-start. We also have cooperative relationships with various TV manufacturers, and you are welcome to consult customer service for introductions.

4. Can a single interface play more than two videos simultaneously?

Most Android phones can handle this because their performance is good, and even with software decoding, the CPU performance is sufficient. However, for TV devices, their CPUs are generally weak, and software decoding performance is poor, which can cause stuttering. A TV device usually has only one hardware decoder, so playing two videos simultaneously may cause stuttering or even failure to play. Therefore, when creating programs, avoid scenarios where two videos play simultaneously unless you are sure your device can handle it.

5. Video cannot play or is stuttering

You can try switching to different decoders on the Player APP or Admin APP. Video playback stability is related to device configuration and operating system stability. It is recommended that the device has more than 2G of running memory.
